About Us
Introduction
Multimedia University Robotics Club had been established since year 2005. This year is the 4th year of the Club. Its founder, Mr. Ong Swee Sin, one of the MMU’s ROBOCON team members, together with many other ROBOCON teammates, have come out with the idea to form this club. Robotics Club is established so that MMU’s students can be exposed to robotics technology by joining trips to witness ROBOCON competition and other intervarsity robotics competitions in Malaysia.
The main mission and vision of the club is to expose Multimedia University’s students to the latest robotics technology in the world nowadays. Robotics Club also provides a comfortable platform for students to learn more about robots’ technologies practically in order to enchant their engineering skills.
Every year, Robotics Club has different mission and target of the year. Come to year 2008/2009, Robotics Club setup few Club’s objectives as its yearly target. Robotics Club needs to build up the awareness among students about the existing of robotics technologies. It also needs to build up students’ interest towards robotics technology. Robotics Club needs to help students improve their practical skills in engineering field. Last but not least, Robotics Club ought to let all MMU students know that Multimedia University is having a Robotics Club and a ROBOCON Team.
Throughout these 4 years, we keep improving ourselves no matter in practical engineering skills or organization management. By following the main mission and vision of the club, Robotics Club had been developed into a better Club among students’ clubs and societies.
