The workshop was conducted by the Research and Skills Development Unit (SDU) of Robotics Club. Instructor of the day was the Head of SDU, Mr. Tan Wei Lip and our Myanmar robot enthusiast , KT Aye.

It was a very beneficial workshop as all the participants were given detailed explanations on the basic function of a DC motor driver which they are using the IC555 Timer to operate with. Besides that, participants were also taught about the basic operation of BJT Transistor to work with a DC Motor. Not to forget during this workshop, participants were given tips and tricks on how to control the motor speed.

Mechanical Workshop Buzz

Again, Robotics Club has taken their very best initiative to bring to us various kind of workshop to expose more of the robotics world.

On 20th November (Friday), they hosted an introduction to manufacturing workshop in mechanical workshop. The purpose of the workshop is to give exposition of the basic idea and skills for turning and welding. Besides, participants were taught basic knowledge of the material. Indeed, a lot of practical skills were imparted to those present by the workshop instructor. The workshop lasted for two hours.

Here’s a glimpse of activities of the day.
